My love affair with flowers began when I was a very small girl. My Mothers windowsill was filled with every beautiful wildflower I could gather. That's where our name originated Fleur des Champs which translates to flowers of the fields. I hope you enjoy my unique creations as much as I have enjoyed making them for you. My love affair has lasted thirty five years and is still going strong. I welcome your ideas and inspiration if you would like a custom creation. Enjoy and always remember....take time to smell the flowers.

I started my floral design training in 1976 at Floral Designs By Bill in Boca Raton, FL. I was 16 years old and after finishing my training I got my first job at Mcnamaras Florist. Things have certainly changed alot since then. Dried materials were very popular and the development of silk flowers was just beginning. We were actually still using plastic flowers! I worked for ten years for Mcnamaras Florist and was privileged to work with many talented designers. I then began working at the Blossom Shoppe Florist in 1990 and was employed there for eight years. There I was introduced to the local and state floral associations. Through workshops and classes I was able to further my studies and became very involved in floral competitions. During this time I earned my Master Floral Degree through FTD Florists' Transworld Delivery and also my Master Floral Degree through The Florida State Florist Association. I was also honored to win the Sunshine Florist Award in a competition depicting our floral interpretation of the opera Madam Butterfly.
I then went on to be the in-house floral designer for Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton. This was a privileged position and I was able to work on some of the most beautiful events in the area. During this time I also had a business with Jem Orchids. A beautiful nursery with a quarter of a million live orchids which I arranged in our clients containers and then placed on location in their beautiful homes. During the 2008-2011 Holidays I also worked with Link Johnston at Eau Gallie Florist. I feel all these diverse occupations have lead to the unique and natural styles I achieve. After thirty five years I am still intrigued with the floral field and try to surround myself with the best talent in the area to continue learning and staying aware of the latest trends and techniques. I hope you enjoy my creations.
My Goal: To provide fine quality permanent botanicals to beautify your home. Due to the nature of the materials used, each one is a unique creation and is not mass produced. Custom orders are available upon request. Hair clips are available in quantity. We welcome custom orders and look forward to serving you and giving you the finest quality silks available.
With sincere best wishes,
Eileen K Schoon, Fleur des Champs
